For funeral homes, funeral art producers, and all industry professionals, May marks an event not to be missed. From May 7 to 9, 2026, the BolognaFiere exhibition center will host a new edition of Tanexpo, the most important international fair dedicated to the funerary and cemetery sector, recognized as a global reference point for funeral homes and professionals in the sector.
An international platform where excellence and Made in Italy meet, Tanexpo presents innovative and quality products, revolutionary technologies, and cutting-edge design: it is the showcase that funeral professionals choose to discover the new frontiers of the sector. The figures for the latest edition confirm the specific weight of the event: over 15,000 professional visitors from 65 countries, more than 23,000 square meters of exhibition space, 225 exhibitors, nearly a third of whom are international, and over 40 meetings and seminars led by industry experts.
Textiles in Tanexpo: International appointment for mortuary professionals returns
Among the most represented sectors at the fair is also that of funeral textiles: among the product categories present, special clothing and funeral furnishings for funeral rooms include a complex textile supply chain, ranging from coffin linings and padding to fabrics for interior coverings, up to professional uniforms for funeral staff. This category includes professional clothing for funeral staff, necrophores, and thanatopractors. For suppliers of technical and quality fabrics — such as satin, jacquard, linen and cotton linings — Tanexpo represents a direct channel to the main buyers in the sector at national and international level.
Among the most anticipated areas is Tanexpo Tech, the space dedicated to technology applied to funerary services: management software, online commemoration platforms, ceremony streaming solutions, and advanced systems for crematoria and cemeteries. The afternoon of Friday, May 8th will be dedicated to the Tanexpo Awards ceremony, the award that celebrates the most deserving exhibiting companies in the categories of Innovation, Quality and Design, Sustainability, Best Stand Experience, Tech and Pet.
The fair is open Thursday, May 7th and Friday, May 8th from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday, May 9th from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, in pavilions 16, 21 and 22.
