MUNICH FABRIC START, one of the leading European textile trade fairs, is preparing to welcome professionals and enthusiasts from the sector on 21 and 22 January 2025 in Munich.

The event, which takes place twice a year, offers an international platform where manufacturers and suppliers present their latest innovations in textiles, accessories and sourcing solutions. For the Spring/Summer 2026 edition, up to 1,100 international exhibitors are expected, ready to show their new collections to an audience of about 15,000 visitors from all over the world.

The thematic areas of the Munich textile fair

The fair is divided into several thematic areas:

• Fabrics: dedicated to innovative fabrics for all segments of clothing, with a full range of products that include knitted fabrics and fabrics in wool, cotton, silk, blends and functional fibers.
• Additionals: focused on buttons, ribbons, decorative details, slipcovers, lace, embroidery and branding solutions.
• Design Studios: where international designers and trend studios present their textile designs and the latest prints.
• Keyhouse: an innovation hub showcasing futuristic solutions with a high level of innovation, hosting experts in smart fabrics, new materials and advanced technologies.
• ReSOURCE: A sourcing platform for sustainable innovations and textile solutions, which offers an overview of material developments produced in an environmentally and socially responsible way.

In conjunction with MUNICH FABRIC START, will also be held the BLUEZONE, an international fair dedicated to denim, street and sportswear, and the VIEW Premium Selection, a preview that presents the latest trends in terms of materials and colors for the next season.

New technologies for sustainable sports fashion: the future of textiles at Munich Fabric Start

Particular attention will be given to emerging technologies and sustainable solutions, as demonstrated by the projects presented at BIOTEXFUTURE TransitionLab, which will focus on biodegradable materials and innovative solutions for sports fashion.

In addition, the “Keyhouse” exhibition area will host a series of conferences and discussions focused on product traceability and the importance of transparency in supply chains, an increasingly central theme in the contemporary fashion industry.

Munich Fabric Start is not only a showcase of products and innovations, but also a meeting place for designers, manufacturers and retailers who want to discover new business opportunities and create synergies for the future of fashion. The next edition of Milano Unica, to be held from 9 to 11 July 2024 at Rho Fiera, promises to be an unmissable event for the textile and fashion industry.

The Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris event, scheduled for the next summer edition in the heart of Paris, is a crucial event for the sourcing of fabrics and clothing, attracting a diverse fashion industry audience, ranging from ready-to-wear brands to luxury. The event will take place on two levels, 7.2 and 7.3, of the Parc des Expositions, offering a comprehensive overview of the textile and clothing industry, including the Texworld Textiles and Gaskets Exhibition, Apparel Sourcing for finished products and fashion accessories, Avantex for innovative solutions towards a more sustainable and performing fashion, and Leatherworld dedicated to the leather industry.

Texworld will welcome exhibitors from 26 countries, with a focus on global diversity. The sourcing countries represented include China, India, Turkey, Korea, Taiwan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Rwanda, South Africa, Ethiopia and the Netherlands. Textile Salon TexWorld Apparel Sourcing Paris 2024: three special focus

Among the special focuses of the show, stand out the Taiwan Eco-Textile, with eco-sustainable fabrics for activewear technical clothing, and the Denim Village, which will bring together thirty international exhibitors, offering a full range of denim products. Leatherworld, on the other hand, will present current trends in the leather market, with mini-conferences on various materials. The novelty of 2024 will be the “Concept Store-Oriented” offer by Apparel Sourcing Paris, designed for brands that address Concept Stores, as well as a space dedicated to Chinese brands that point to the European market with their own or private label brands.
